Dashoguz –Kone-Urgench – Darvaza - Ashgabat – Mary – Turkmenabad – Farap
1st day
Itinerary: TURKMEN-UZBEK BORDER- KONE-URGENCH- DARVAZA GAS CRATER -270 KM

Program:

Meet the group at the Turkmen-Uzbek border. Drive to the North of Turkmenistan, to the architectural monuments of KoneUrgench, Capital of Khorezm in X-XII centuries. During the tour, visit the Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kubra, TyurabekKhanum, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia Kutlyg-Timur. After lunch drive to the Gas Crater – Darvaza which is located to the North of Ashgabat. Evening observe the spectacular and fascinating view of the gas crater.

Transport: Regular-Jeep-Mini bus
Meals: Lunch – at the local restaurant. Dinner -picnic style.
Accommodation:Overnight at the tent under the star sky

2nd day
Itinerary: DARVAZA – ASHGABAT – NISA - HORSE FARM 300 KM

Program:

After breakfast, drive to Ashgabat, accommodation at the hotel. Lunch time. In the afternoon visit, “Nisa” was once the Capital of the Parthian Empire (under UNESCO Heritage), continue to the horse-farm for exploring the pride of the Turkmen people – Akhal-Teke horses. Try Traditional Tea party, short Akhal-Teke horse show program and can see the racks of horses. Return to Ashgabat.

Meals: Breakfast -picnic style. Lunch – at the local restaurant, Dinner – at the local restaurant.
Accommodation: Overnight at the hotel Menzil-3* or similar

3rd day
Itinerary: PARKS AND MONUMENTS IN ASHGABAT – ERTROGULGAZY MOSQUE – NATIONAL MUSEUM – MARY CITY

Program:

This day explore the capital of Turkmenistan. To visit independence period parks and monuments, such as the Monument and Park of Independence (looks like a white-marble “Eiffel Tower”), a fountain-monument devoted to the 10th anniversary of independence (sculptural depiction of ten Akhal-Tekke horses placed on the top of a beautiful fountain) and impressive Ertoghrul Ghazi mosque. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of History and Ethnography. Then drive to Mary city.

Accommodation: Overnight at the hotel Merv-3* or similar

4th day
Itinerary: MARY-MERV – TURKMENABAD – FARAB/ALAT BORDER 290 KM

Program:

Visit the glorious Ancient Merv (UNESCO World Heritage Site). 25 km to the east of Mary, towards Bayram-Ali. One of the major archaeological sites of Central Asia played an important part in the development of the Silk Road for more than 2 000 years. Within the limits of the archaeological park, which is 1200 ha, observe all constituent parts of the “wandering city”. The splendid XII c. mausoleums of Sultan Sanjar and Muhammed ibn-Zeyd, demonstrating exquisite Seljuk period brickwork and architectural décor. Then drive to Turkmenabat city. On the way you will see Karakum desert fauna & flora. Lunch at Turkmenabat city. After lunch transfer to Turkmen/Uzbek, Farap/Alat border.
